Coloring pages for contemplating your SCAMP color scheme:
As winter approaches, I hope to get the hull planked, and maybe a bit of work on the cockpit seats, but either way, I will have some downtime from working on the boat in the garage over the cold winter months. I have been contemplating various color schemes for my SCAMP, and over winter I will put some crayon to paper on it. I have made the sketches below from photos of Gig Harbor SCAMPs that I thought showed a good view of the whole boat and the cockpit. I will print up these skteches on white paper and use them as coloring pages to test out various color schemes I am considering.
Here is the planned color scheme for the SCAMP Argo: Black and dark green hull with a yellow stripe below P3. Brightwork on the cabin sides and parts of the deck. Cream paint in the cockpit and cabin top. Tanbark sail. Note: I made two modifications when finishing the boat: 1: I decided to varnish the bow, rather than enamel it (it is finished bright, as is the stern transom). 2: I continued the white paint down from the roof onto the front panel of the cabin.
